Susan Lawler, Manager and Organizer of Catering Thyme (previously Lawler Catering) has evolved starting as a corporate caterer for fortune 500 companies. Sue's clients have included DuPont, GE, CFCC, Corning, and The United Way just to mention a few. Sue has had the privilege of Catering for Margaret Thatcher and Julie Nixon-Eisenhower through her years of service. Catering Thyme is pleased to have joined Beau Rivage Golf and Resort as their exclusive caterer in the Fall of 2017 and began live dinner shows this past April 2018 with Jerry Winsett and the Murder Mystery team, what fun! Our reputation for excellence was built on unfailing attention to detail, consistently providing quality food and professional service at competitive prices. 

 

Samuel B. Lawler IV, the Executive Chef of Catering Thyme, is commonly known as Chef Sam. He is the 6th generation to a long line of ancestors tracing back to the early 1900's and evolving to a mother and son, family owned and operated business. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, Chef Sam is certified in Nutrition, Service, Food & Beverage cost control, Classical French, and custom designed Gluten Free Menus. He is best known for his Beef Carving Stations and Shrimp & Grits. In September 2014, Chef won The People's Choice Award at the annual Epicurean Evening for the Methodist Home for Children. Chef Sam is also a Platinum Sponsor for the Annual Wilmington Wine & Chocolate Festival.


Chef Sam is passionate about Gluten Free, and Celiac diets, he has achieved a wide variety of menu choices for those like himself, who follow a strict diet.
Undoubtedly Chef Sam is a young talent today, who will undoubtedly lead Catering Thyme into the future.
